Various bed positions (For details, please refer to our product page.)
We have designed various positions for each bed to support the mobility needs of users and the efforts of caregivers.
KIND Motion
There are in excess of 6,500 combinations possible between the back section base and knee section base movements. From these, we programmed the bed so it provides ideal movements for reduced body slippage and a minimized feeling of pressure.
Consequent advantages are earlier egress from the bed, reduced nursing care labor, and the prevention of pressure ulcers. The patient can be easily helped up at the touch of a button, operating the bed by self-adjustment or with the assistance of the caregiver.

First, the knee section of the bed is raised to prevent body slippage from occurring. |

The back section of the bed is raised. |

As the back section is raised, the knee section is lowered to minimize pressure that would otherwise be felt in the abdomen. |

A stable position for extended seating comfort can be assumed on the bed. |

When the back section is tilted up as high as it can go, the knee section is lowered. This helps the patient make a smoother transition to a sitting position on the side of the bed. |

Back RiseWhen a patient is in the hospital, the Back Rise function helps support the body movement of rising from a flat position and maintaining posture. In addition, by maintaining the Back Rise position at a lower angle, pressure on the respiratory organs can be reduced. |

Knee RiseThe useful Knee Rise function raises the knee section of the bed, allowing a patient to elevate the legs or relieve leg swelling. Moreover, when the back section is raised, this function helps prevent the patient from slipping toward the foot of the bed. |

Hi-LowThe convenient Hi-Low adjustment function helps support a patient in moving to a standing position by the bed. Additionally, when caregivers need to assist patients, the bed height can be adjusted to a preferred working level. |

Tilt & Reverse Tilt (Trendelenburg position)By using this Tilt & Reverse Tilt (Trendelenburg position) function, the entire bed can be tilted to raise the head or foot sections. The patient’s position is changed so the feet can be lower than the head. |

Cardiac Chair PositionTo help the patient move to another sitting position or leave the bed more easily, the bed position is converted to a cardiac chair position by one-button operation. |

Additional safety function: Angle LimitThe bed is designed so that the bed angle is never less than 90 degrees, thus preventing the back and knee sections from coming too close together. This function can be canceled if necessary. |
Bed position control (intelligent hand-held controller for electrical bed)
LCD
The white LCD is clearly visible and operations are shown by number and icon when the bed position is changed. As a result, the bed can be accurately adjusted to the proper position.
Memory function
The memory function can be set to make stops at certain back angles, knee angles, and bed heights. After movement has been automatically stopped, further adjustment can be made using the up and down buttons.
Note: We offer various tips for effective Memory function and LCD usage to enhance safety and work efficiency. Please feel free to contact our distributor.
Activation lamps
A lighted icon shows the chosen function, making it easy to confirm the bed position, even at night.
Touch-sensitive buttons
Arrows on the operation buttons are convex so they can be identified by touch.
Voice guidance function
Voice guidance indicates operations before the bed position is changed to assist those with limited vision and in dark places. To prevent errors, voice guidance also indicates when function settings are changed. The voice guidance function can be canceled if necessary.
Consideration for electrical safety
The bed’s metallic frame is grounded to prevent any buildup of electrical charge. As this maintains the entire bed in a uniform electrical condition, the effect of static on ME devices is also reduced.
Low-voltage handheld controller
A 5-volt specification has been selected to ensure safety from electrical shock in the unlikely event of the controller cable being severed.
Accurate function programming
The function selection buttons on the side make it possible to disable the handheld controller, set the speed of the back-section base movement, and engage the angle limit function while viewing the LCD. The programmed selections are saved even if the power is turned off. Default settings can be restored by pressing the RESET button.
Easy attachment
Improvement of the shape of the hook has made it easier to attach and remove the controller from the side of the bed.
Bed position control (nurse control panel for electrical bed)

Double-action operation
This makes it possible to confirm the operating status and prevent incorrect operation.
Flat at faster speed
In time of emergency, press the flat button to return the bed to a level position at accelerated speed.
Angle limiting function (on/off)
This switch is used to turn angle limiting on or off for the under-back or under-knee sections of the bed.
Forbid function
With one button, the hand-held controller can be easily turned off and on. Operation of the Nurse Panel can be blocked according to needs of use.
Speed (normal/fast)
This switch is used to set the speed at which the under-back section of the bed is raised or lowered.
Quick access to control panel
In a hospital room, the foot of the bed is usually closer to the entrance. Positioning the panel on the footboard shortens the access path, allowing the nurse to reach the panel quickly. Moreover, the control panel shape is designed for user-friendly operation.
Example of use in a four-bed hospital room

Torque release handle (for crank bed)
Paramount's own torque release handle protects the crankshaft from damage by overwinding. Once the handle becomes overwound, the crankshaft is disengaged. This automatic clutch system ensures longtime durability in operation.

Headboard and footboard features
Easily cleaned plastic design
Featuring flat surfaces with little indentation, these headboards and footboards are designed for easy cleaning; furthermore, they retain an attractive appearance over long service life. Detachable in a single operation, the boards also provide swift support for emergency medical procedures.
Casters with smooth movement and excellent usability
Total locking system
125mm-diameter urethane double-wheel casters can be completely locked and also make radical turns in direction. Simply step on the red pedal for total lock braking, or press in reverse on the green pedal for steering mode. Chemical-resistant coating by world-renowned Tente-Rollen of Germany is newly available.

Central lock caster system
A central lock can be operated with minimal pressure to simultaneously lock and unlock all four wheels. The large pedal can be approached from various directions for smooth and steady operation. In addition, the arched shape of the pedal distributes the force exerted by the instep when unlocking it, thus making it easier to operate in sandals.

Paramount Bed's own silent linear actuator
Newly developed, Paramount's original linear actuator provides constant speed with quiet, low-vibration operation, regardless of patient weight. Electrical safety has been enhanced, in compliance with CE regulation.
