Paramount Bed Co., Ltd. (hereafter“the Company”) shall acknowledges the importance of personal information protection while carrying out appropriate and smooth business activities in accordance with the motto of the Company “As human, for human” and strive to implement the following in order to protect personal information.
1. Handling of personal information
The Company shall obtain personal information through legal and fair means and shall appropriately use and manage of personal information within the scope of achieving the purpose of use.
2. Compliance with laws and other rules and regulations relevant to personal iInformation protection
The Company shall obey [laws relating to the protection of personal information] or relevant acts and shall comply with the laws and guidelines as stipulated by governmental bodies and other organizations.
3. Safety management measures of personal information
The Company shall adopt the necessary and appropriate safety management measures such as the maintenance of organizational control and technical measures, and shall strive to prevent fraudulent access to personal information handled and to prevent any leakage, loss or destruction of or damage to personal information.
4. Compliance with personal information management rules and continual improvement
The Company shall ensure that all employees acknowledge the importance of personal information protection and shall, with the application and implementation of Personal Information Management Rules, strive for the continual improvement of data protection by means of periodic reviews of internal management controls.

Basic Approach of the Company Concerning the Handling of Personal Information
1. Purposes of using personal information
(1) The Company shall use personal information which has been provided by customers for the following purposes:
Adequate distribution of products and parts by the Company
Adequate implementation of services such as after service and maintenance
Adequate distribution of catalogs and pamphlets
Responce to the inquiries and needs of customers
Improve of above services
Should a customer choose not to provide us with personal information, some services may not be available. Please provide us with the necessary personal information in order to help us provide services that are suited to your needs.
(2) Where the Company obtains personal information directly through documentation or via a web page, the purposes of use shall be clearly displayed.
(3) Personal information obtained directly or indirectly other than by (2) above shall be handled within the scope of the purposes of use of (1).
Should there be a change from the original purposes of use to related purposes of use for which personal information is used, this change shall be announced on the homepage. Should there be a change to unrelated purposes of use for which [personal information] is used, consent shall be obtained from customers in advance of use.
2. Provision to a third party (including work orders)
The Company shall appropriately manage personal information provided by customers and, with the exception of the following cases, shall not provide such personal information to any third party:
(1) Where consent has been obtained from the customer.
(2) When providing information to an agent who handles products of the Company or to a transportation company associated with the Company that is considered to be within the scope necessary for the provision of services.
(3) When the Company deems it to be in the interest of the customer for the details of a customer inquiry that is to be responded to by an agent who handles products of the Company or by a transportation company associated with the Company.
(4) Where a settlement is necessary for a product purchase or the use of a service. (There may be an exchange of personal information with a financial institution to check bank account propriety or credit card validity.)
(5) When in compliance with releavant laws.
3. Joint Use
The Company shall jointly use personal information with its group enterprise, Paratechno Co., Ltd. (100% financed by the Company) for the following:
(1) Purposes of joint use
Adequate distribution of products and parts by the Company
Adequate implementation of services such as after-service and maintenance
Adequate distribution of catalogs and pamphlets
Response to inquiries and needs of customers
Improvement the above services
(2) Personal data items for joint use
Name, address, telephone number
Customer number, transaction details, transaction history, inquiry history
(3) Party responsible

4. Procedure of the Request for Disclosure, etc.
The Company deals with requests from customers or their representatives for the disclosure, alteration, or cessation of use of personal information held, in the following manner:
(1) Where to apply for the Request for Disclosure, etc.
Please mail requests for disclosure to the following address with the specified application forms and necessary documentation. Please note that we cannot accept applications in person.

(2) Request for Disclosure, etc.
(3) Charge and collection method of the request for disclosure, etc.
Please enclose postage stamps or a postal money order for 600 yen with every application for the Request for Disclosure. You will be notified if the enclosed sum is insufficient or it is not enclosed with the application, and if the sum is not paid within 20 days of notification by the Company, the Request for Disclosure will be considered to be canceled.
(4) Reply to the Request for Disclosure,etc.
A reply will be made in writing addressed to the person who filled out the application form.
(5) Purposes of using personal information provided in the Request for Disclosure, etc.
The personal information which has been provided shall be handled within the scope necessary for the purpose of responding accurately and quickly to the Request for Disclosure, etc. from the customer.
(6) If we are unable to respond to a Request for Disclosure, etc.
The Request for Disclosure, etc. shall result in non-disclosure and cannot be amended or cancelled in the following circumstances. In such an event, the customer will be notified in writing with the reason for the above. Please note that in this case, the sum enclosed will not be refunded in the following cases:
Lack of necessary documentation which was not rectified regardless of notification by the Company
Identity of the person could not be established
For applications by a representative, the power of representation could not be established
Object of the request of disclosure, etc. did not exist in the personal information held
There was a risk of causing damage to the life, health, or any other right or benefit of the person in question or a third party
There was a risk of causing a clear impediment to the appropriate implementation of services by the Company
Violation of any other act
